- All returns must be authorized by Canopus Technical Support.
- Before returning a product, obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number from the Canopus Regional Technical Support team supporting the country where you purchased the product (see contact information to the right).
- You must provide the invoice number, date of purchase, and serial number of items to be returned, and the reason for return. (Please keep a copy of your invoice in case a return is necessary.)
- RMA numbers are valid for 10 business days from the date of issuance. Canopus must receive returns within that time. After 10 days, a new RMA number must be obtained.
- Products to be returned must be securely packaged, preferably in the original cartons. Freight and insurance are the responsibility of the customer. Customer assumes risk of loss or damage during shipment.
- The RMA number must be clearly marked on the shipping label of each carton. (Do not put the RMA number on product.) Packages without the RMA number on the outside will be refused.
- The RMA policy applies only to hardware and defective software CDs. This policy does not apply to software. We will accept returns on software within 10 days of purchase ONLY if the CD seal and manual packaging have not been broken and the software product packaging is intact.
- The purchase of Special Bundles (e.g. third-party add-on software, keyboards) are final and these items may not be returned unless defective.
- Canopus reserves the right to determine the validity of the warranty for returned products.

For repairs or exchanges, return ONLY the defective product — do NOT return cables, manuals, diskettes, etc. unless otherwise instructed. Fees may apply to re-ship uneccessarily returned items. Canopus will either repair or replace the products. Repaired hardware will be shipped promptly after repair and testing is completed. Replacement hardware (if availabile) will be shipped out within five business days of receiving the defective product. 
A product being returned for credit must be issued an RMA number and returned complete, including registration card and all accessories (cables, manuals, diskettes, etc.), in original packaging. Credit returns may only apply to products that have been purchased directly from Canopus, and must be within ten days of the invoice date. The product must be in like-new resellable condition. All products will be inspected at our discretion; credit may be refused. Upon receiving the products, credit will be issued within five to ten business days. Shipping and handling charges will not be refunded. There will be a 15% to 25% restocking fee applied to all returns for credit.
