Grass Valley MediaEdge-LEB is a standalone SD video encoding device that provides realtime distribution of live video across a network, accessible to any MediaEdge clients (either set-top boxes or MediaEdge-SWT3 PCs). Working either as a separate solution or in conjunction with a MediaEdge server, MediaEdge-LEB encodes any analog video source into MPEG-1, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4, and can instantly rebroadcast the encoded stream via an internal server built into the unit’s circuitry.
MediaEdge-LEB provides the ability to encode video from a remote location, such as a video library, and can then deliver the content to a MediaEdge server, based within a datacenter. The content is then recorded and ready for distribution across a MediaEdge network.
